How We work.

This page is for potential collaborators — fabricators, engineers, and project managers who want to understand the tools, process, and working style before a first conversation.

From brief to deliverable.

Most engagements follow the same basic pattern. The key is getting a clean brief upfront — the more context We have on the scope, the tighter the deliverable. We don't bill for back-and-forth caused by unclear scope, but We do need you to have a clear picture of what you actually need before we start.

  1. Brief & Scope

You describe what you need — drawings, detailing, a PDM system, RFQ support. We ask the questions that matter: deliverable format, timeline, existing CAD/data to work from, who's reviewing.

  2. Quote / Confirm

Fixed-price or hourly depending on scope definition. For well-defined packages (a drawing set, a BOM) We prefer fixed. For ongoing or exploratory work, hourly with a cap.

  3. CAD / Build Work

We work from your reference files, sketches, specs, or existing CAD. Communication through Teams, email, or SharePoint — whichever fits your workflow. We send progress updates at meaningful milestones, not daily.

  4. Review & Revisions

One structured review round is included in any fixed-price engagement. Revisions beyond that are scoped and billed separately. Markup via PDF redline, Teams comment, or a quick call — your choice.

  5. Delivery

Deliverables via email, SharePoint, or OneDrive. Formats as agreed — typically STEP + PDF drawings + DXF cut files + XLSX BOM. Native CAD files available on request.

What We work with.

Creo Parametric

Primary CAD platform. Parts, assemblies, drawings, sheet metal, BOM tables. Production-ready packages.

PDM Engine

Custom-built data management system. Handles part tracking, revision control, BOM extraction, and automated drawing exports — deployed onsite for your team.

Microsoft 365

Teams for communication, SharePoint for shared files, OneDrive for document storage and project files. Works with your existing M365 tenant.

PowerShell & Python

Automation scripting for PDM workflows, BOM extraction, file processing pipelines, and scheduled tasks.

SQLite

Embedded database for part number tracking, revision history, lifecycle state, and BOM records in the PDM system.

Standard Formats

STEP, DXF, PDF, XLSX. Whatever the shop, the CNC, or the ERP system needs. No locked proprietary formats unless you want them.

What makes a project go well.

Most delays and rework come from the same places: unclear scope, late reference material, or review feedback arriving from five different people with conflicting direction. Here's what We need from a client to get clean work out fast.

  • A single point of contact for review feedback
  • Reference files, sketches, or specs before work starts — not mid-project
  • Clear deliverable format requirements upfront (STEP, PDF, DXF, etc.)
  • A realistic timeline — We don't do good work under artificial urgency
  • Timely review turnaround — sitting on markup stalls the schedule on both sides

From us.

We've worked with fabricators and project teams long enough to know what actually matters on their end. You'll get:

  • Drawings that can be sent straight to the shop without a cleanup pass
  • BOM formats your purchasing team can actually use
  • Communication that's direct and doesn't require follow-up
  • Honest feedback if the scope is underspecified or the timeline is unrealistic
  • Files organized the way you asked for them, not the way We find convenient
